Posted where a guest can read it
The law of this house.
In the first book, the lord of Vespertine writes down what will not be taken in his rooms and hangs it where any guest can check it against his behaviour. These are ours, in the same spirit: short enough to read, specific enough to hold us to.
Nothing here is taken
No account is required to buy a book. Your basket lives in your own browser and is never sent anywhere until you check out. We do not sell, rent or trade your address, and there is no analytics, advertising or tracking on this site — only what the payment processor needs in order to take a payment.
What we keep, and for how long
For a print order: your name, delivery address and email, kept while the order is open and for as long as the return window runs, then for the period tax law requires of the receipt. For a digital order: your email address, so the download link can be sent and resent. Nothing else, and nothing is used for marketing you did not ask for.
Buying it once is buying it
Buy all five volumes in paperback and every ebook and audiobook comes with them. No edition sold here is rented, expires, or has to be bought a second time. The specification and the delivery windows are on the printing page.
The price on the page is the price at the till
Postage is derived from the country you enter and shown before you pay. No handling fee appears at the last step, and no subscription is attached to anything you buy.
Digital editions are yours
No DRM, no app, no expiry. The EPUB opens on any reader you own and the audiobook is ordinary MP3 files. Download links expire for security, not to limit you — if yours lapses before you have saved the files, write and another will be sent.
You may refuse
Unopened paperbacks come back within 30 days for a full refund, and you will not be asked to justify it. A book that arrives damaged or misprinted is replaced or refunded whatever its condition — tell us and send a photograph. Digital editions cannot be returned once the link has been used, because by then the file is yours.
These books are for adults
All five volumes are sexually explicit. Every one states, on this site and in its own front matter, exactly what is on the page — including the difficult parts. All romantic leads are adults. Nothing is softened in a description to make a sale; the whole index of warnings is here.
A person answers
Anything at all — an order, a question about content before you buy, a link that will not open — goes to orders@nocturnals.press and is answered by a person. Greenlight Publishing is the trading entity on the receipt.
Still to settle
This shop is not finished, and it is better to say so on the page than to let you find out at the till. The payment processor is not connected yet, the print prices and postage rates are proposals with no printer quote behind them, and no paperback ISBN has been registered. The checkout page says the same thing rather than pretending to take an order.
